Usage policy
What you can't use Overcrank for, so the service stays safe and fair for everyone.
Last updated October 6, 2026
This policy is part of our terms of service. It applies to the app, the account portal and the AI features, whether AI runs on Overcrank’s credits or on your own key.
Don’t use Overcrank to
- Break the law or help someone else break it, including copyright law. Only copy, organize or share media you have the right to.
- Handle illegal content, including any sexual content involving minors, which we report to the authorities.
- Harm people: harassment, threats, stalking, or collecting information about people without a lawful reason.
- Mislead people with the AI features: impersonation, fraud, or passing off AI output as a person’s real words.
- Attack the service: probing for or exploiting security holes, getting around plan, device or credit limits, or overloading our systems.
- Misuse accounts: sharing a sign-in beyond your plan’s members, reselling access, or creating accounts to get repeated free trials.
- Scrape or copy the service, or use it to build a competing product, without our written permission.
- Get around AI safeguards, or use the AI features for anything the underlying AI provider forbids.
AI output
The AI features suggest how to name and organize files. Always review the preview before you apply it. You’re responsible for the changes you apply. Every change can be undone in the app.
If something breaks this policy
We may remove content from our systems, limit features, or suspend or close an account, depending on how serious it is. Where it’s reasonable, we’ll tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.
